Fire Safety Month is always a great time to remind our students ways to stay safe. We appreciate our local volunteer fire departments and everyone that donates their time to keep our community safe! Thank you Waucoma Fire Department for the pizza cutters and thank you to our firemen that treated our Fire Poster contest winners to a ride to school! Thank you Jerry Vrzak for speaking with our students about fire safety and fire prevention! #TVPride

Last week was National School Lunch Week and we want to thank our amazing cafeteria staff for providing breakfast and lunch to TV students every day! Thank you! #TVPride

This weekend our football team & Coach Scott had the opportunity to help the Jeremy & Becky Walz family move to a more accessible home. What a great way to give back! #TVPride

Turkey Valley Parents and Community Members,
The district was recently notified that Gaiters and Face Shields are no longer acceptable face coverings when dealing with COVID-19. The district works with Winneshiek Public Health and the Iowa Department of Public Health on this issue. Because of this, the district is asking everyone’s help in making sure your child no longer uses these and is using an acceptable face covering which is a cloth mask. The district purchased one for every staff member and student at the beginning of the year. Your child may wear that one or any others you may have.
Our quarantine and positivity rates remain extremely low. This will help us continue to be able to attend school in person and also to continue with our activities. We appreciate your continued support as we go through these challenging times. Our primary concern remains the safety of our students and staff and this will help keep everyone safe.
If you have any questions, please contact the principal’s office.

Tonight's football game vs. Kee High at Lansing will be broadcasted on the following stations: KVIK 104.7, and The River 94.9 and 99.1.

Important: No seventh and eighth grade wrestling practice tomorrow, Friday, October 16. Wrestling practice will begin on Tuesday, October 20.

USDA has extended "free meals for students" to include the entire 2020-2021 school year. Students learning in person and virtually are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch from Turkey Valley at NO COST for the 2020-21 school year. This is GREAT news!
