This year’s Fire Prevention Week was October 5-11. Students created posters related to this year's theme of “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home”. The 1st place winners rode to school in a fire truck. The 1st-3rd grade poster winners received a certificate. Congrats to all! #TVPride

Last week we had Nate Sanderson to Turkey Valley to complete workshops with male and female student-athletes as well as our coaches! It was a great afternoon/evening full of discussion and reflection! #TVPride

"You don't have to be good at everything you try" was one of many messages shared by Cory Greenwood during the K-6 program. This group was THRILLED to have him back as they remember his message from last year. So appreciative of our community and families that support the Gala every year so our TVEF can continue to help support funding for such great programs.

Cory Greenwood has an engaging presentation style with a strong message of "Your Story Matters" for the 7-12 graders. Immediately following the program, many students gave it a 10/10! Huge THANK YOU to our TVEF for funding this fantastic program!

Our Lady Trojans tunnel for our future Trojan volleyball players right before the entire student section follows suit tunneling for our Trojan volleyball players. Great tradition!

Jerry Vrzak made his annual visit to Turkey Valley Elementary to talk to our students during Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 5-11). Jerry has served on the Waucoma Fire Dept. as a volunteer firefighter for many years and came to talk to our students about the importance of fire safety, what to do in a fire, and having a fire escape plan. Besides seeing Jerry, the highlight is seeing all of the equipment a firefighter wears!

Ms. Halverson's preschool class has been busy! They have had a couple of very kind special guests visit. Over the past week, the class has been talking about dairy farms and Natalie is a dairy farmer from my hometown. She brought along one of their farm helpers that is interning from Africa! She also brought a calf for the kids to see! Natalie owns a business called Hightail Dairy and makes cheese curds and ice cream from her dairy cows. She is amazing! To end the morning, they figured it was only fitting to make some homemade ice cream in a bag and that was a big hit!🙂🍦 #TVPride
