Kindergarten and 7th grade pair up every other Friday as reading buddies! #TVPride
3rd Graders were each gifted a dictionary from Charles City Elks Lodge 418. As you can see from the photos, they eagerly dove in!
Favorites of the dictionary included sign language, braille, maps, the longest word, parts of speech, etc.
Students learned how to use a dictionary and were set to work, and successfully mastered a scavenger hunt to locate specifics in this tiny dictionary!! (Tiny because it only holds 10,000 out of 600,00 words in the English language!!)
3rd graders will be busy mastering these dictionaries at school this year, and will eventually will take them home to enjoy later this spring!!

3rd grade mathematicians are working rigorously to achieve progress on operations in fluency! Once 100 math facts are achieved, he/she will progress to the next operation… after earning an award (and a sweet treat), of course! Sam Schmitt drove Donald & Hannah Rausch to school in one of the St. Lucas fire trucks. This was one of the items from the Turkey Valley Gala. Preschoolers have been learning about fire prevention. It was perfect timing and everyone enjoyed seeing the fire truck 🚒! #TVPride
Our 3rd graders, their teachers, and some pretty amazing parent volunteers adventured to the Rick Jensen Farm near Elgin. There the Fayette County Soil Water and Conservation District volunteers hosted 6 centers that taught about soil, water, woodlands, wildlife, bees, and agriculture. Students had the best day!!! #TVPride
