Missoula Children's Theatre will be working with TV K-6th graders this week to prepare for their performances of Red Riding Hood. Performances will be Friday at 1:30pm and 5:00pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. Performances are open to the public with a free will donation at the door. Thanks to the generosity of the Turkey Valley Education Foundation TV elementary students celebrated their 11th year of swimming to celebrate reaching their reading goal. The students were given the goal of reading 40 picture books or 5 chapter books depending on their grade level. It is important for students to continue reading over the summer. The TV Education Foundation recognizes this importance and supports the students by providing funds for them to enjoy this event.
The students were able to swim at the Cresco Fitness Center and enjoy some outdoor time at Evans Park in Cresco. They enjoyed gaga ball, kickball, football, playground time, and other free choice activities. Students packed a picnic lunch to eat at the park. When students returned to school, an ice cream treat was enjoyed by all. The day was great for the students and teachers to begin building their relationships for the new school year.
