3rd graders participated in the RSVP PenPal Program through Winneshiek County this school year. They enjoyed being partnered with a volunteer and sending/receiving letters throughout the year. They enjoyed reading our last letter from our PenPal and culminated their experience by inviting PenPals to a MeetNGreet at school for cookies and juice! Thank you pen pals! (part 1 of 3) #TVPride
Our own Winneshiek County Beef Queen, Haylee Hanson, along with the entire Beef Royalty visited Mrs. Rausch's 3rd grade class. The group presented information about beef cattle in Iowa and the students participated in a Jeopardy game. The spotlight was stolen by Haylee and her sister, Theresa's, market beef steers (Eddy and Cheese Puff). The students enjoyed learning about them, getting to be close up, and even petting them! 🚍🐦FUN FIELD TRIP DAY!!!! The 2nd graders went on an adventure to Lake Meyer where they learned all about birds! We took a hike on the trail and bird watched, had a yummy picnic lunch, played in the park with friends, and built some pretty cool bird houses with some special helpers! What an AWESOME day it was!!! 🐦🚍 #TVPride (part 3)

Every year staff come together at the conclusion of the school year to celebrate staff that are leaving TV to pursue new endeavors and staff that are retiring. This year we say good-bye and best wishes on your next adventures to Kristie Brincks, Katie Fisher, Melissa Meyer, and Maddie Steiner. We also say good-bye and Happy Retirement to Janice Brown, Jay Jurrens, Susan Ourada, John Reicks, and Lynnie Reicks. Thank you for all of your dedication to Turkey Valley! Of course, in typical John Reicks fashion, he had to have the last word and brought the elementary staff together to assist him in his send off with laughs, jokes, stories, and tears.
