Our students are fascinated by watching the ants work and build their tunnels — it's a wonderful way to spark curiosity about science and nature. The IGHSAU is hosting a "Future Champions" Youth Volleyball Clinic on Sunday, November 2nd from 4-6 p.m. for 6th-8th grade girls at GreenState Fieldhouse. They are taking the first 100 participants. Registration opens Monday, October 6th at 10 a.m. Campers will receive a camp t-shirt, volleyball, and 2 complimentary tickets to any day of the 2025 State Volleyball Tournament. Time to Celebrate! We had two soil teams compete at the District FFA Soil Competition at Hawkeye College this week. Congrats to Soils Team 1 as they took 1st place! There were 54 teams, consisting of 177 individuals. They will now be competing at the State Competition on Oct 9th at ISU. Nicholas Bernhard placed 1st, Hunter Kruse placed 3rd and Trae Keel placed 7th as Team 1. Dominick Reicks placed 26th, Miles Holthaus placed 82nd and Eli Holthaus placed 92nd as Team 2, with a final standing for team 2 as 17th. Thank you Neil Sass from NRCS for helping our gentleman prepare for this! Good things do come from playing in the "dirt". #TVPride
5th graders spent the day at the Norman Borlaug Heritage Farm on Friday, Sept. 19. They learned about Dr. Borlaug’s life as well as plants, insects, and biofuels. Two favorite parts of the day were the prairie walk and packaging food to send to starving people in Tanzania, continuing Dr. Borlaug’s legacy of feeding the world. #TVPride

Information regarding Friday Night's football game at Bishop Garrigan in Algona. Game kicks off at 7 p.m. and gates open at 6 p.m. If you are unable make the game it will be on their local radio station KLGA.
