"Best day ever!" was exclaimed by a few kindergarten students this week as they made their way to greet the Winneshiek County Police officers. Nancy Franzen and her Farm Bureau business have been sponsoring a Deputy for a Day package at TVEF's Annual Gala for many years. Nancy provides a lunch of pizza from The Fort and the WInneshiek police deputy enjoy a lunch with the students. This year Mrs. Frana's kindergarten student, Raelyn, was the lucky recipient as her parents won the package at the Gala auction. All kindergarten students watched a demonstration of how the K9 dog, McCoy, helped the deputies and of course, McCoy received some attention from the students. Thank you to TVEF, Nancy Franzen and Farm Bureau, Sheriff Marx , and staff that made this truly an amazing day for Raelyn and her classmates! #TVPride (watch for additional pictures)
